The upstairs hallway is one of the last places we have laid tile. And I guess it is just as well that some time has passed and the A/C has run for a while before we laid this long stretch of cement tile.
Elmer our Guatemalan tile layer came back and finished out the places we had run out of tile and also laid the upstairs hallway. Upstairs, first he had to remove the tile that we had started to use up on the top floor and had already set. All my designer friends had said to make 'neutral' color tile colorways. So I had come up with this rather monotone version of the Venetian pattern which I called "Taupe". Well, everyone who came to my house commented that the tile looked pretty dull. I agreed. I had the factory make my Trellis Shell corner pattern in custom colors using a lot of the new colors that they did not offer when I first began. It looks GREAT !
