I got a call from Patti who used to be the local WeatherShield Window rep for Swift Building Materials. She is now working for Builder Resources and doesn't sell Weathershield, but does sell windows and doors by some companies owned by the WeatherShield family. She wants me to consider Vetter, Therma Tru and Peachtree. Seems that the Vetter Co was bought by the owners of Weathershield and the product is made at the same factory. They offer impact glass and the seacoast upgrade that the WeatherShield line does. Same sizes and same flange too. Too bad that impact glass doesn't come in a true divided light type door design. I either have to get so-called 'simulated' true divided light, which I can't stand, or just one sheet of glass... better, if I use impact glass.
A while back, I made a good resource list of quality window and door companies.
