These fireplaces are called Isokern Fireplaces made from volcanic rock. The great thing about them is that you can install an entire fireplace in one day. They come from Denmark. We ordered the Firelite series which permits you to install the fireplace on a wooden floor. However a large piece of sheet metal has to be installed on the floor before the fireplace goes in. Also, with the Firelite series, the hearth has to be at least 12 inches from the floor. Our installer failed to put the required sheet metal down first and the hearth was not high enough. He installed it as if he were installing a Magnum fireplace. He had to get a crane and lift the entire fireplace up with a crane inserted the required sheet metal and built the hearth up to 12 inches. So now we have a Firelite fireplace. We had to do this for both fireplaces.

You can leave a firelite fireplace as is but we built a wood frame around our chimney because we thought it looked too skinny. Then we had genuine stucco artisans install a metal lathe they stuccoed over  it. When they finished, Juan and Jose colorized the stucco using the patch kit supplied by DAC-ART. They even installed fake grout-lines to make the chimneys look like DAC-ART. We are searching for antique chimney pots that deserve to be installed on our chimneys.  We placed a call to local potters, Seaoats Studio, but have not heard back.
