13th Course Blocks Set

It is the first week of December. We have had wonderful weather for building. Chilly nights, but glorious and sunny days. No rain for a long time. Text and hopefully a video of blocks being set coming soon.

A view from the porch, looking to the Southeast. We can see a glimpse of the Gulf at the first floor level in about 3 or 4 different places from the porch.

This is the view to the east showing our window openings.

This is our porch, looking to the Southeast. These 24" x 24' columns will extend all the way up to the top porch. Notice the notches at the top of each column. These notches are designed to receive the lintels that you see in the photo underneath this one.

These lintels are solid concrete reinforced with rebar and they weigh between 5000 and 6000 pounds each.

We have a circle drive that will allow us to gain entry to the four garage doors on the left. This photo was taken from aprox. the middle of the circle drive.

On the right is the elevator and stair tower.
