Mid March, 2007---Dennis Aluminum has made the roof support system for the elevator/ stair tower.
The flat plates at the end of the legs are wielded on and these plates are bolted onto the DAC-ART walls using Redhead fastening system. Redhead bolting system is a type of a molly-bolt, expansion bolt, ..it mushrooms the tighter you attach it, the bigger the expansion. We drilled holes into the concrete DAC-ART wall for these bolts. They are about a foot long and and 3/4 in in diameter. When some of these bolts accidentally got put in the wrong location, we tried to remove them using the crane and lifted a 1000 pound block out of the wall and this was only one bolt. We feel really good about the strength of the roof system we used.
