My Crane Arrived
It is a 1979 22 Ton beauty. The boom is 75 ft long with a 25 ft extension. It has 4 wheel drive and swivels 360 degrees. We bought it for this job as it will work out much cheaper than renting, I plan to sell it at the end of the job, so if you are thinking of building with DAC-ART this good looking beast could be used for your construction too.

| Today in mid-afternoon, my crane got here.
Dan, Mike and Mike's helper were here to meet it. It sure looked good. I
could see a few signs of old age, like a missing back tail light and a
small dent in the steps....but it sure looks good with its new paint and
new seat, etc...good thing Dan took a real mechanic up to Middle Alabama
with him when he went to look at it because I could be easily fooled by
the fresh look of it even if it was all worn out !
We did discover a leak when Mike drove it off the truck's trailer...they looked underneath and said it was a seal on something to do with the steering. We will have it fixed of course, but the leak did not prevent us from driving it back to my property from the vacant street next door where it was unloaded and testing it our on block lifting. Let the block stacking begin !!

| The outriggers come sliding out automatically. It was beautiful. Notice that the tires are up off of the ground when all four outriggers are in position for block lifting and placing. | ![]() |
